Surprise pattern – A kerchief for a little lady

I started something yesterday and I still don’t know where it is going to go.  I have a general idea but I will change a few things on the way… so stay tuned for more developments 😀

I’ve had this 100% cotton yarn for a very long time.  I’d say at least 6 or 7 years.  I never knew what to do with it.  It’s hard to decide about a pure cotton yarn – what would be good to make?  So I saw a really cool pattern the other day and got inspired that this yarn would be perfect for it.  It’s going to be summary and light and will fit a baby girl perfectly.  I’ll post pictures as soon as it’s ready. 🙂

UPDATE: So I’ve almost finished this project.  I followed the pattern for Knit Simple Kerchief but for a baby.  I made some modifications to the pattern to include a ribbon that goes on top of the kerchief and ties at the neck.  So that’s why I say it’s almost finished because I need to find a proper ribbon to go with it.  I’m posting a picture of the work so far.

So it’s finished.  I found a great organza ribbon yesterday that I thought was perfect for the kerchief.  It would fit a newborn to 6 months old.  I made it small because I wasn’t sure if it was the right pattern to try.  Turns out, I loved making it.  So next time I’ll consider a bigger size 😀  Maybe even one for myself 😆

    • WOW!! Thank you! That’s so sweet of you! I am touched.
I am still working on the project and it’s almost done. I should be able to post another in-progress picture today. And I will finish it tonight.
Again, thank you for reading my blog and thank you for nominating me.
