It all started with me making a batch of dough for a loaf of bread. As I was making it I thought I should make the whole batch (I usually make 1/2 just for a loaf). So I made the whole recipe as is. While the dough was rising, I thought that there were still some pears left in the fridge from a client of my fiance’s. They have a pear tree and had given him two huge boxes of pears about a month ago. So the remaining 12 pears were still in the fridge. Turned out that 6 of them were not good any more so I threw them out. I had to do something with the rest. I came across this recipe and had wanted to try it for a long time, so that was the perfect opportunity.
When the cake was ready, I thought that my fiance was on his way home from a long difficult day at work and he was really hungry. So I decided that I would split the dough and use 1/3 to make a small loaf of bread and 2/3 to make a pizza. So I did. It was so yummy – crunchy thin crust, but not too thin. And the bread turned out just great. Perfect for some yummy sandwiches tomorrow.
