These are fantastic! You have to try them!
The recipe calls for self-rising flour or make your own. I made my own: for every cup of flour I added 1.5 tsp baking powder. It works great. Also, I used canned organic coconut milk which is a bit thicker. I just didn’t have anything else. But you can use anything: almond milk, or any other type of milk. It’s so easy. It took me exactly 30 min from start to finished baked biscuits.
Yummy! Those look so cute. I’ve been making my own cookies for years, and recently I’ve been into making easy, healthy dog biscuits!
Nice! I find that the most delicious recipes are always very simple 🙂
Yay! In Australia, we call these scones, except of course you use butter and cows milk. I cant have dairy, Im definitely going to try these!!
It’s funny you say this because I also know them as scones lol until I saw the recipe and I started calling them biscuits 😀
They really are great and definitely lighter than using butter and milk. Not that there’s anything wrong with that (unless you can’t have dairy of course) but I prefer to feel the lightness of this dough.
You’re going to love them 🙂
Awesome! Im excited 🙂 Ive made some rather flat non-dairy scones in the past lol
Let me know how they turn out 🙂
Will do 🙂
My Mum and I tried them last night, and they were awesome. Big thumbs up from all the family 🙂 We had to do a double batch, because we had a few hungry people, and they all went!
That’s great!!! I am so happy your family liked them too. And thanks for sharing your experience.
🙂
We use this same recipe for quick pizza crust with warm water and some olive oil… just place the dough flat in a frying pan to cook the bottom, add toppings and finish under the broiler: “Cheat’s pizza”
What a great idea! I’ll try it next time we have a pizza night at home. Thank you for sharing 🙂
