So I continue the journey of knitting with the beautiful Lion Brand Fisherman’s Wool in Light Cream. It’s such a pleasure working with this wool. It’s amazing. I can’t wait to go to Michael’s and get some more… and in more colours. I have a cool idea that will be also sharing with you of course 🙂 … as soon as it’s done.
I finished this cowl today. This stitch is often referred to as “brick pattern” but I like “weaved basket” better 🙂 I managed to take exactly one photo of my son wearing it today. He’s not much of a photo guy. He usually wants to look where I am looking, not stand in front of the camera. 😆
I am adding the cowl to my wool creations collection of baby booties and another hat and cowl... ahh
UPDATE: The pattern is very simple. Cast on multiples of 8 (I had 112 sts total). Then *P3, K2, P6, K2* till the last 3sts. P3. I used circular needles (5 1/2 mm; 40cm/15.7″)so I didn’t have to do WS. On the second round, *P2, K2, P6, K2* until last 4 sts, P4. Repeat these 2 rounds twice. Then K 2 rounds. I did a total of 10 “weaves” ending with 2 K rounds before casting off.
Nicely done!
Thank you 🙂
