Wow Whole 20 days! I’m 2/3 done with the Whole30 program and I am contemplating continuing with it even after the 30 days. Hm.. still undecided. Any thoughts?
In the mean time, I found a cool website today with tons of recipes and idea for Whole30. Check it out!
Here’s today’s menu:
Breakfast
- 1 Cup Coffee with almond milk
- Almond cake
Lunch
- Leftover pizza with cauliflower crust
- Chocolate pudding
Dinner
- A big bowl of salad: Iceberg lettuce, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, olives, olive oil, Frank’s Red Hot sauce
- A cup of Homemade Cocoa (OMG! So good!) – here’s now to make it:
2 cups almond milk
3 tbsp Dutch processed cocoa
4-5 Medjool dates
1 cup water
Place almond milk and dates into a blender and blend until smooth. (If there are some small parts of the dates left and you don’t like that, you can strain; I personally like these little bits so I left it as it) Add cocoa and blend again. Boil the water and add to the liquid mixture. If it’s too cold or too strong you can control that with more hot water. Or just pour everything in a small saucepan and boil over medium heat until your desired consistency is achieved. YUM!
You have so many wonderful recipes! Thank you for sharing. I also started a Healthy Lifestyle in August. So far, so good! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you 🙂 And congrats on making such an important decision. I know it takes courage to change a lifestyle. So way to go! 🙂
Only 10 more days! You can do this!
Thank you 😀
What do you like about the program?
Marcey
The program looks quite limiting at first. You start to imagine all your favourite foods that you can’t eat any more. But in fact, it is quite easy to follow. Personally I don’t find it too difficult. Before I started it, I thought I would have a major sugar withdrawal. I have a sweet tooth and chocolate is definitely my #1 favourite thing. But I didn’t go through a withdrawal at all. I crave something if I smell it – like a grilled cheese sandwich or fresh out of the oven bread. But I try to think of something else and ignore the cravings. Or I have a healthier alternative which I also love – like the Chocolate Pudding or a cup of Cocoa. (the recipes are in my posts)
I also like the feeling of lightness. I don’t know if it makes sense but while I haven’t really lost a significant amount of weight, I feel lighter. Which also makes me want to move more.
