Knit City 2016

Finally, I did it! I went to the Knit City event this year. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve been meaning to do it every year and something always happened last minute. This year, I didn’t even want to whisper my intentions to go out of fear I might jinx it ๐Ÿ˜€

It did help that I went with a fellow yarn addict ๐Ÿ˜€ … my friend Ineseย is just as excited about yarn and knitting as I am. We had so much fun and we saw the most beautiful yarns there is. Amazing colours! Amazing craftsmanship! We had a hard time choosing what to buy because we wanted to buy EVERYTHING!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

By the way, have you noticed that shopping for yarn makes you really hungry? Yes, me too! So at the end of the day it was waffle time… whoohoo! ๐Ÿ˜€ Yum!

Just take a look…

  1. So many yarns, so many ideas. I look at these, and I have this sudden urge to want to pet them all. Gorgeous.
lol. I normally get so busy shopping for yarns I forget to eat.

    • That’s so true!! I couldn’t stop touching the yarns haha When there’s waffle aroma in the air, it’s hard not to think about the waffles haha
      We had a fantastic day.

  2. glad you finally got to go – hope you will share what you got with us all. ๐Ÿ™‚ Aside from the really good looking waffle, I mean.

    • Haha yes, the waffle was amazing.
Actually I didn’t buy any yarn. Crazy, I know!!! But there was so much choice I had a really hard time deciding. But I ended up with more than 20 business cards from the vendors. So I’m checking their catalogues online again to see if I can match a good pattern to their gorgeous yarns. It’s difficult because I want to buy the yarn but I also want to have the perfect pattern for it. ๐Ÿ˜‚ it’s a catch 22 for sure.

  3. I’m amazed that you were able to stop yourself from buying yarn – it was a treasure trove out there! Well, as long as you still have the opportunity to buy from the businesses, and get to have waffles ๐Ÿ˜†
I look at yarn, and I buy it if a project idea comes to mind. Of course, I don’t immediately jot down those ideas so quite a few get lost. Shows how I don’t use my do-it-all phone’s features well… ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • ๐Ÿ˜€ Not buying yarn was definitely difficult. But I already feel guilty having a big… ok, huge… stash of yarn at home. I just couldn’t bring myself to buy more ๐Ÿ˜€
The projects are endless and time is so limited. I decided that I can buy more after I finish one project. So at least I can be a bit productive and put the beautiful yarn I already have to good use… finally lol ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. Dropping by from your like of my Q4 Finish Along post–much thank! ๐Ÿ™‚ I used to knit, so that’s *a lot* of eye candy there. Hands in pockets time! ๐Ÿ™‚
