Finally, I did it! I went to the Knit City event this year. ๐ I’ve been meaning to do it every year and something always happened last minute. This year, I didn’t even want to whisper my intentions to go out of fear I might jinx it ๐
It did help that I went with a fellow yarn addict ๐ … my friend Ineseย is just as excited about yarn and knitting as I am. We had so much fun and we saw the most beautiful yarns there is. Amazing colours! Amazing craftsmanship! We had a hard time choosing what to buy because we wanted to buy EVERYTHING!!!! ๐
By the way, have you noticed that shopping for yarn makes you really hungry? Yes, me too! So at the end of the day it was waffle time… whoohoo! ๐ Yum!
Just take a look…
Ohhhhhhh myyyyyyy, I have yarn envy ๐
๐ Guilty as charged ๐
Yum and wow it looks like you had fun
It was amazing ๐
So many yarns, so many ideas. I look at these, and I have this sudden urge to want to pet them all. Gorgeous.
lol. I normally get so busy shopping for yarns I forget to eat.
That’s so true!! I couldn’t stop touching the yarns haha When there’s waffle aroma in the air, it’s hard not to think about the waffles haha
We had a fantastic day.
glad you finally got to go – hope you will share what you got with us all. ๐ Aside from the really good looking waffle, I mean.
Haha yes, the waffle was amazing.
Actually I didn’t buy any yarn. Crazy, I know!!! But there was so much choice I had a really hard time deciding. But I ended up with more than 20 business cards from the vendors. So I’m checking their catalogues online again to see if I can match a good pattern to their gorgeous yarns. It’s difficult because I want to buy the yarn but I also want to have the perfect pattern for it. ๐ it’s a catch 22 for sure.
Wow! Good for you! I am never that strong with all that beauty. I usually go with a list so I know what general categories I am looking for. ๐some just knowing it’s enough for a shawl
That’s an excellent strategy. I will have to apply it next time we go ๐
It is sort of good – it gives one permission to buy. ๐ and if I want it to, it keeps me focused on what I wanted to make before I saw all the wonderful colors. ๐
Very good points. I do need to go there prepared. I am a very impulsive yarn shopper ๐ and sometimes I get overwhelmed with the amount of choices available haha
I get it!
Is there anything more beautiful than a yarn rainbow? Science says NO!
I couldn’t agree more ๐
I’m amazed that you were able to stop yourself from buying yarn – it was a treasure trove out there! Well, as long as you still have the opportunity to buy from the businesses, and get to have waffles ๐
I look at yarn, and I buy it if a project idea comes to mind. Of course, I don’t immediately jot down those ideas so quite a few get lost. Shows how I don’t use my do-it-all phone’s features well… ๐
๐ Not buying yarn was definitely difficult. But I already feel guilty having a big… ok, huge… stash of yarn at home. I just couldn’t bring myself to buy more ๐
The projects are endless and time is so limited. I decided that I can buy more after I finish one project. So at least I can be a bit productive and put the beautiful yarn I already have to good use… finally lol ๐
That’s a good decision, then. ๐
My husband certainly thinks so haha ๐ Mind you, he bought me a medium U-Haul cardboard box full of yarn for Christmas ๐ haha
Lucky you! I don’t think I even have room to spare for stuff from that box in my tiny corner of our house… ๐
What sensational colour…would have come with all of it!!
All skeins were amazing ๐
Dropping by from your like of my Q4 Finish Along post–much thank! ๐ I used to knit, so that’s *a lot* of eye candy there. Hands in pockets time! ๐
