I am sitting in my living room working on finishing a baby boot that I should have done a long time ago. I hope I finish this gift before my friends’ baby comes. It’s warm outside so I have the patio door open and I can hear spring rain outside. The air smells great, so fresh and clean. Makes me want to go out for a walk.
I am also thinking about projects that get started and are difficult to finish. Is it because I’ve already done a lot with this same yarn and I need some variety? Is it because the pattern is the same and I feel like experimenting at the moment? Maybe both. 🙂 I catch myself thinking about the skeins of yarn I haven’t tried yet and I day dream of the pattern I would use them for. I feel like I am thinking about food while eating dinner. 😀 Anyway, I’d better get back to the bootie and get it done. Will post pictures when I’m ready.
UPDATE: Finally finished. I can’t believe it took me so long to go back to this project and finish it. Both booties and the hat would usually take me 4 hours tops to finish. Anyway, here it is! All done! 🙂 Now waiting for the little sweetness make her appearance.
Variety is the spice of life, if I stare at the same yarn for too long I just want to hide it from view! Good luck on finishing!
Thanks for the comforting words. 🙂 I am the same way. That’s why I like small projects so I can finish them quickly and move onto the next.
Couldn’t agree more! That’s why I am scared of socks….you have to make two!
So true! 😆 I’m the same way. My mom says the way to do it is to knit both socks simultaneously 😀 that way it seems like one piece. I haven’t tried it yet but I should and see how that goes.
